In Tokyo recognized as Shinto Teito in the year 2020, 19-year old Minato Sahashi is very intelligent, yet because of his inability to cope under pressure has failed the college entrance test twice. Minato meets a girl named Musubi, who actually falls in the heavens one day. Minato soon learns that she's a "Sekirei" who picked him as her "Ashikabi", among the cryptic group of individuals that possess the inherited characteristic who is able to create a deal - by kissing - with the Sekirei.
